The eight live classes

Barbarian, Sorcerer, Druid, Rogue, and Necromancer shipped with the launch SKU. They remain the five you can create without an expansion. Spiritborn is the Nahantu predator from Vessel of Hatred, built around Spirit Hall synergies. Paladin is the Skovos holy melee from Lord of Hatred, with Oaths, Blessed Hammer, and auras. Warlock is the infernal summoner from the same expansion, built around Soul Shards and demon binding.

The Steam base store page still lists five classes. Live realms after Lord of Hatred run eight. If a friend is shopping from the base store blurb alone, send them this roster or the Lord of Hatred store page so they do not plan a five-class ladder. How to pick for Season 15

Start from the activity you actually want to run. Mephisto's Splinter of Hatred modifies The Pit and Nightmare Dungeons, so a Pit-first seasonal character wants a class that already likes that loop. Diablo's Splinter of Terror modifies Helltide and Infernal Hordes. Baal's Splinter of Destruction modifies the Undercity and Lair Bosses. Class fantasy still matters, but the season sockets a Prime Evil splinter that steers those activities.

Expansion ownership is the hard gate. Spiritborn needs Vessel of Hatred. Paladin and Warlock need Lord of Hatred, which already includes Vessel. Amazon is not in the Season 15 client. If you are on the Steam free window, you can try the live roster through level 30, then buy the SKU that actually contains the class you want to keep. A free-window character can sample any live class through level 30, then you buy the SKU that actually contains the one you want to keep. Amazon stays a 2027 pack no matter which Prime Evil splinter you socket this week.

Amazon class pack

Blizzard's What's Next recap places Amazon in 2027 as a Diablo IV class pack. Polygon's BlizzCon recap matches that timing. Amazon is not a third expansion, not a Diablo V feature, and not playable in Season of Hell's Legacy. Bow and javelin archetypes are the announced fantasy, with a Skovos regional tie shared with Paladin and Warlock.

Do not hold a Season 15 character for Amazon. Play one of the eight live classes, spend the free window if you are new, and treat 2027 as a later roster add. Purchase path and exact season pairing for the pack are not published yet. The What's Next recap and the Polygon BlizzCon piece agree on 2027. There is no in-game vendor, no season pairing, and no way to create the class on patch 3.2.1. Spend Season of Hell's Legacy on one of the eight live rows. Wait for 2027 if that is the fantasy; play an eight-class row now.

Regions and the compare drawer

Estuar is the regional tag on Barbarian, Sorcerer, Rogue, and Necromancer. Scosglen is Druid. Nahantu is Spiritborn. Skovos is Paladin, Warlock, and the announced Amazon. Those region fields are why the filter can hide a jungle predator or a Skovos holy melee when you only care about launch Estuar classes. Role filters separate melee physical, elemental caster, shapeshift hybrid, mobility martial, minion caster, jungle predator, holy melee, infernal summoner, and the announced athletic ranged row.

Use Compare to put Paladin next to Warlock, or Spiritborn next to Druid, without leaving the page. The drawer takes three rows: expansion, role, signature, and region. If you need Mercenaries and the Dark Citadel as well as Spiritborn, that is a Vessel of Hatred purchase, not a class toggle. Expansion filters and region filters stack. A Skovos plus Lord of Hatred view shows Paladin and Warlock together. A Nahantu plus Vessel of Hatred view shows Spiritborn alone. Amazon remains in the announced pack row at the bottom.

What each live class actually does

Barbarian is melee physical with shouts and weapons mastery, a launch Estuar class. Sorcerer is the elemental caster with Skill Trees and Enchantments. Druid is the Scosglen shapeshift hybrid with spirit animals and earth and storm. Rogue is mobility martial with combo points and specializations. Necromancer is the minion and dark caster with the Book of the Dead. Those five are the base-game row.

Spiritborn is the Nahantu jungle predator from Vessel of Hatred, signed on Spirit Hall synergies. Paladin is holy melee from Lord of Hatred pre-purchase, signed on Oaths, Blessed Hammer, and auras. Warlock is the infernal summoner at Lord of Hatred launch, signed on Soul Shards and demon binding. Amazon remains the 2027 athletic ranged and melee pack with bow and javelin archetypes, still not in this client.

If you own only the base game, the filter set to Base game hides Spiritborn, Paladin, Warlock, and Amazon. If you own Vessel of Hatred but not Lord of Hatred, Paladin and Warlock stay locked.
