What Lord of Hatred adds

Skovos is the new region. Paladin is the holy melee class with Oaths, Blessed Hammer, and auras, available from pre-purchase. Warlock is the infernal summoner at expansion launch, built around Soul Shards and demon binding. War Plans are the endgame director: season reputation tracks and modifiers hang off that board. The Horadric Cube and Talismans are the crafting and socket systems called out on the store. Echoing Hatred is the unending demonic horde test.

Lord of Hatred store copy describes skill reworks for all eight classes: the launch five plus Spiritborn, Paladin, and Warlock. That is the live roster after this SKU. Includes Vessel of Hatred

The Lord of Hatred purchase includes Vessel of Hatred. You get Spiritborn, Nahantu, Mercenaries, and the Dark Citadel without a second DLC charge. If you already bought Vessel of Hatred, check your store's upgrade path before you double-pay; the included expansion is for buyers who jump straight to Skovos.

Nintendo Switch 2 sells the Age of Hatred Collection with the base game plus both expansions in one eShop product. Steam package 1390267 is the same collection on PC. Those bundles are the clean way to own every shipped chapter without stacking DLC receipts. Spiritborn, Nahantu, Mercenaries, and the Dark Citadel come along with Lord of Hatred. Check your store's upgrade path if you already bought Vessel of Hatred separately so you do not pay twice for the same Nahantu chapter. The included Vessel of Hatred chapter is why this SKU is the jump-to-Skovos purchase rather than a second Nahantu fee.

Season 15 and Rank VIII

Season of Hell's Legacy runs for all players, but official notes say about 15 percent of seasonal objectives, including Rank VIII rewards, require Lord of Hatred. War Plans are the Lord of Hatred director those tracks hang off. If you want the full season rank, this SKU is the gate. If you only want Waking Nightmares and jewelry splinters, the season still opens on the base game.

Mephisto's Splinter of Hatred modifies The Pit and Nightmare Dungeons. Baal's Splinter of Destruction modifies the Undercity and Lair Bosses. Diablo's Splinter of Terror modifies Helltide and Infernal Hordes. War Plans are how those modifiers get directed in the expansion endgame. Socket the Prime Evil that matches the loop you actually run. If Rank VIII is not a goal, you can still play Waking Nightmares and jewelry splinters on the base game. Buy this SKU when you want the full season rank, Paladin, Warlock, or the War Plans director.

Platforms and dates

Xbox Wire lists Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S and includes PlayStation among Lord of Hatred platforms. Steam is the PC DLC. Battle.net is required on every store. The Steam DLC date is April 27, 2026; Xbox Wire's public date is April 28, 2026. Use April 28, 2026 when you need a single human-readable launch day, and keep both store dates in mind if you are matching a receipt.

The expansion does not make Diablo IV offline. An internet connection is required for all modes. Cross-play and cross-progression still apply across the live stores. Store copy for this DLC is the place that names skill reworks for all eight classes. The Steam base about module still says five; do not shop from that blurb alone.

Skovos is the region those two classes share with the announced Amazon. Amazon is not in this SKU. If you buy Lord of Hatred for Paladin and Warlock, you also receive Vessel of Hatred systems: Spiritborn, Nahantu, Mercenaries, and the Dark Citadel. War Plans, Cube, and Echoing Hatred

War Plans are the endgame director. Season 15 reputation tracks and modifiers hang off that board, which is why Rank VIII is expansion-gated. Paladin from pre-purchase and Warlock at launch are the two class reasons to buy this chapter if you already own Vessel of Hatred. If you do not own Vessel of Hatred, this purchase still includes it. Skill reworks for all eight classes are part of the Lord of Hatred store copy. Amazon is not. Rank VIII and about 15 percent of Season of Hell's Legacy objectives also sit behind this SKU, which is the season reason to buy it even if you already have Spiritborn.
